Synergies among Enabling Project and ERDF's Operative Groups

Workshop want to offer a great opportunity through link with Enabling Project and Its thematic Workshop at EIP AGRI of EU Commission. Therefore, the workshop has been organized in occasion of kick-off meeting of local "ERDF's Operative Group", funded by the Marche Region, with aim to valorize rural residues for innovation bioproducts. In this context, Enabling workshop has been organized by ITABIA with the involvement of enabling stakeholders: ITT Montani Fermo, CHIMICA VERDE. The aim of event was also to arise the involvement of local stakeholders operating in local operative Groups, as farmers, Department of Biology of University Polytechnic of Marche, LEGAMBIENTE Marche, CREA CIB, and Regional Officer of Rural Department of Marche Region, National Officer of Ministry of Education, University and Research MIUR. The workshop aimed to connect innovative local operative group (funded by ERDF fundings) with Enabling Project in the same thematic network table" valorization of rural biomass for innovative biobased products".

The actions were focused on the explanation of thematic network actually opened to the EIP AGRI networks with particular attention to the activities carried out by Enabling Project, their partners and first results about Best Practices, potential biomass available for new BBP's opportunities. Attendees have shown good interest in being informed about the newest innovations collected by Enabling project, with particular attention to the valorization of rural residues and promising business in BBP sector. Attendees of the workshop were around 30 participants most of them were entrepreneurs, farmers, policymakers, researchers, and rural and environmental associations.

After the event, further meetings will be organized for 2020 with aim to better transfer innovation and collect their needs.

There was considerable interest from the participants and a great willingness to collaborate in the future on the part of the stakeholders involved. Project brochures have been distributing to all attendees. Newspaper articles relating to the event have published for further dissemination.
